Build a Strong Personal Practice & Teaching Foundation
A consistent personal practice is the foundation of becoming a confident and knowledgeable yoga teacher. Throughout our 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you'll deepen your understanding of the Ashtanga Primary Series while exploring complementary practices that support strength, mobility, mindfulness and self-awareness.
Over the course of 46 immersive days on the Costa Brava, you'll experience the discipline of daily practice while learning how to apply these teachings to both your own journey and your future students. Guided by experienced teachers, you'll refine your technique, develop greater body awareness and build the confidence to teach with authenticity.
What You'll Explore
Traditional Ashtanga Primary Series
Develop a deeper understanding of the traditional Ashtanga practice through daily guided classes, refining alignment, breath awareness and the connection between movement and mindfulness.Mysore Style Practice
Experience the traditional Mysore method, learning how to develop an independent self-practice while receiving personalised guidance based on your individual needs and progress.Vinyasa Yoga
Explore creative and intelligent sequencing while understanding how breath, movement and intention come together to create balanced and meaningful classes.Pranayama & Meditation
Build a consistent pranayama and meditation practice to cultivate focus, emotional balance and a deeper connection with yourself both on and off the mat. -
Learn to Teach with Confidence
Understanding anatomy is one of the most valuable skills you can develop as a yoga teacher. Rather than memorizing complex anatomical terminology, you'll learn how the body moves, adapts and responds to different postures so you can teach with confidence, make informed decisions and support every student safely.Throughout this module, you'll explore functional anatomy, biomechanics and movement principles, gaining the knowledge to adapt your classes for different bodies, abilities and levels of experience. By connecting anatomy with real-life practice, you'll develop a deeper understanding of alignment, injury prevention and intelligent movement that you can confidently apply both on and off the mat.
What You'll Learn
Understanding Vulnerable Poses
Learn to recognise postures that place greater demands on the body and understand how to approach them safely. You'll explore common areas of vulnerability, anatomical reasoning and evidence-informed strategies for adapting, modifying and refining alignment to create a safer and more sustainable yoga practice.Functional Biomechanics & Movement Planes
Develop a practical understanding of biomechanics by exploring the body's planes of movement and the relationship between joints, muscles and connective tissues. This knowledge will help you create well-balanced classes and understand how the body moves efficiently through yoga practice.Fascial Anatomy
Discover the role of fascia in movement, stability and posture through the principles presented in Anatomy Trains by Thomas Myers. You'll explore how fascial lines influence asana, sequencing and overall movement patterns, helping you see the body as an interconnected system rather than isolated muscles.Breath Anatomy
Understand the anatomy of breathing by studying the diaphragm, rib cage, spine and accessory respiratory muscles. Learn how efficient breathing supports movement, improves nervous system regulation and enhances both physical performance and mental clarity during yoga practice.Teaching Safely
Develop an evidence-informed approach to injury prevention by understanding common contraindications, individual anatomical differences and appropriate modifications. You'll learn how to create inclusive, adaptable and supportive classes that prioritise student safety while respecting each person's unique body and experience.Sanskrit for Yoga Teachers
Build a strong foundation in Sanskrit by learning the pronunciation and meaning of key postural names used throughout the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition. This will strengthen your communication as a teacher, deepen your understanding of the practice and honour yoga's traditional roots. -
Discover the Roots of Your Practice
Yoga is much more than physical movement. Through the study of Yoga Philosophy, you'll explore the teachings that have shaped the practice for thousands of years and discover how they can guide both your personal journey and your approach as a teacher.
Rather than studying philosophy as theory alone, you'll learn how to apply its principles in everyday life, on the mat and in the classroom. By connecting ancient wisdom with modern practice, you'll develop a deeper understanding of yoga and the values that continue to inspire its tradition today.
