WHAT IS NYDUM?
Nydum is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga school in the south of Europe in Spain.
We offer residential 200-hour, 300-hour and 500-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings, as well as specialized courses in Yin Yoga and Prenatal Yoga.
The name Nydum comes from the Latin word for “nest”. It reflects the way we work: a focused, supportive environment where students can study deeply, practice with attention, and receive personal guidance. Groups are intentionally small. Training takes place in a private rural villa surrounded by nature, where students live and study together.
The emphasis is practical and clear: functional anatomy, teaching methodology, philosophy, daily practice and real teaching experience. Some students come to become teachers. Others come to understand yoga, movement and the body more fully.
Both are welcome.

WHY STUDY AT NYDUM
At Nydum Yoga School, we honor the depth of traditional yoga while grounding our teachings in clarity, inquiry, and real-world application. Our Founder, Amelia Valls, studied Sport Science as a passionate about the body and Anatomy bridges the traditional with the needs of todays classes, bringing a focus in functional anatomy, mindful movement, and the cultivation of embodied awareness, so you can teach with confidence, integrity, and compassion.
We teach not just what to teach, but how to think, feel, and respond as a teacher.
-
Students study yoga history, philosophy and ethics alongside practical skills. The program covers sequencing for real-world classes, alignment and safety across postures, teaching methodology and adjustments, breathwork, meditation and theming. A strong focus is placed on functional anatomy applied to asana, and every student has the chance to practice teaching with detailed feedback from the teachers.
-
The trainings are suitable for people who want to become certified yoga teachers, as well as practitioners who simply want a deeper understanding of yoga, movement and the body. Experienced teachers looking to refine their skills are welcome, as are those specializing in Yin or Prenatal Yoga. The trainings also support anyone interested in long-term professional development. No matter the starting point, the emphasis remains on quality, safety and depth of learning.

YOUR HOME IN THE HEART OF COSTA BRAVA
The Yoga Teacher Trainings takes place at Nydum, a rural villa in Palamós, Costa Brava, close to the Mediterranean Sea. The training is fully residential, which means you stay at the same place where you practice, study and spend most of your time during the course.
The villa has shared and private rooms, a dedicated yoga shala, large gardens and different indoor and outdoor communal areas. Having everything in one place makes the daily schedule simple: morning practice, classes, study time, meals and breaks all happen at Nydum, without the need to travel between locations.
Three vegetarian meals are prepared every day by our chef. The food is Mediterranean, based on fresh and seasonal ingredients, and meals are shared together at the house. For many students, this becomes an important part of the residential Yoga Teacher Training experience and of getting to know the rest of the group.
Nydum is surrounded by countryside but is also within walking distance of the sea. During free time, students can rest in the garden, study outside, spend time by the pool or walk to the beach.
The villa gives you the time and space to focus on the course while also having a comfortable place to stay throughout your training in the Costa Brava.
