The yoga teachers

Our courses are led by highly knowledgeable, international Yoga Teachers. They love what they do, and each of them brings a unique way of creating an atmosphere to make learning accessible to each individual.

Amèlia valls - catalonia

Amelia's journey as a teacher started 15 years ago, having been trained in Pilates, Fitness and Personal Training. She worked with a diverse range of people and communities. At that point she realized how much she loved to help people have a better, active life and decided to study a degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences, in Spain. In 2013 she completed her 500 hrs YTTC at Kranti Yoga, Goa, India. Initially, it was to complement her field of work and studies.

However, during her training she developed a completely different point of view about the concept of health.  She realized that health is not just about the physical body but the mind and soul also. Through Yoga, Amelia found balance in her life.  She started to incorporate aspects of yoga philosophy not only on the mat but also in her everyday life. After Amelia's initial extended, in depth studies of yoga in India, she returned home and realized how much she missed The Yoga Village. She returned to assist on the YTTCs in order to develop herself as a Yoga Teacher.  Passionate about anatomy, she was quickly able to apply her knowledge in the Ashtanga Yoga practice, helping students on a daily basis to overcome the many obstacles faced physically.  As a teacher, Amelia is unwaveringly attentive and possesses the rare gift of making learning fun and enjoyable. Ask her any question about functional anatomy and her creative response will provide you with the most accessible answer. Amelia is sure that her purpose in life is to help and inspire other people to believe in themselves and challenge their existence.

Nica is passionate yogi nomad, traveling and teaching around the world, sharing holistic bodywork and its transformative healing powers. With degree in psychology, background in movement therapy, thai massage therapy, breathwork and a decade of experience with teaching yoga, Nica will be sharing her dedication and love for philosophy, ashtanga vinyasa, vinyasa flow, yin yoga and related workshops during your 200 & 300 hrs training.

“Yoga is so much more than asana (body posture). It’s philosophy of life manifested and practised on the mat, it’s confrontation with what needs to be seen, it’s letting go of who we think we should be and rather surrendering into who we already are. Yoga for me is a deep journey through the self, to the Self.” Seeing our body as a tool, guide, unique universe, metaphor to inner mental and emotional worlds, Nica holds non-judgmental safe space for you to look into the depths of yourself: “Teacher trainings are tremendous opportunity to pause, observe, to walk the path of transformation, and it’s my honour to support and accompany you”.

Navnish Udupi -INDIA

In a world where we often prioritize various pursuits, health remains the cornerstone of a fulfilling life. My own journey into yoga was sparked by a dire need for healing after facing multiple injuries that altered the course of my life.

Commencing my career as a software engineer at the tender age of 16, I found myself bound in a demanding lifestyle, driven by a relentless "work as if there is no tomorrow" mindset. This pursuit led to two slip discs and a cervical injury, catapulting me into a search for healing.

In 2016, amidst a two-year spinal treatment in Shanghai, the doctor suggested to look for a rehab which has physical exercise. I stumbled on the path of yoga and started practicing Hatha Yoga in a small studio in Shanghai, I soon realized the transformative power of the practice. A year into my journey, I identified a missing piece, prompting me to pursue a teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore, India, under the guidance of Shri Ramesh Shetty—a disciple of Shri BNS Iyengar. This immersive experience not only refined my physical practice but also enriched my understanding of yoga philosophy.

In 2018, fueled by a desire to share the life-altering benefits of yoga, I made the courageous decision to leave my corporate role and embark on a teaching journey in Shanghai. Accumulating over 8000 hours of teaching and earning two lifestyle awards, my mission to spread knowledge led me to Europe.

For me, yoga is not just a practice; it's a lifeline that saved me and a compass guiding others through their own transformative journeys. The lessons of yoga extend beyond the mat, teaching me the profound art of slowing down and teaching others to do the same.

My connection to the world of gastronomy began at a very young age, I grew up playing restaurants with my sister and feeling an emotion every time my parents took us to restaurants for dinner.

I went through university, but I have learned the true culinary career thanks to the passion I feel and the magic that cooking transmits to me.

I studied Mining Engineering and took a Master's in Engineering and Environment. Somehow, I already felt a certain sensitivity to doing things in a way that respects our environment. For this reason, I have always dedicated myself to sustainable construction, designing buildings that tried to be a little more respectful of their environment.

I have always combined my work with cooking training of all kinds, energy nutrition, Japanese cuisine, creative vegan cuisine,...

I left my days as an engineer to dedicate myself to healthy gastronomy and create Cuina Riu Viu, a gastronomic project from which to promote a healthier, more sustainable and also sexier diet.

Respect for the landscape, favoring biodiversity, taking care of what we eat and how we eat it, recovering forgotten culinary techniques and being part of a more efficient food system are the main values of the project.

My interest has grown exponentially and I currently believe in a regenerative gastronomic future that must start now.
